What is Imagine America MAP?
The Imagine America Military Award Program (MAP) is a national aid program established by the Imagine America Foundation. The $1,000 career education award is available to any qualified active duty, honorably discharged or retired military veteran of a United States military service branch for attendance at a participating career college.
What criteria are required of Imagine America MAP recipients?
Prospective applicants must meet the following guidelines:
- Active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of the United States military
- Likelihood of enrolling and successfully completing postsecondary education
- Financial need
When is the deadline?
June 30, 2009. Military applicants of the 2009-2010 school year can start applying on July 1, 2009.

Are awards transferable?
All Imagine America MAP scholarships are not transferable, not negotiable, not refundable and have no cash value.
Can spouses or family members apply?
No. Imagine America MAP is only open to prospective students who are active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired military persons in good standing.
