About the Scholarships

The award-winning Imagine America Scholarship Program established in 1998 helps thousands of high school seniors each year attend a career college. If your son or daughter is considering attending a technical, vocational or career education school after graduating from high school, an Imagine America scholarship may make it more affordable.

This scholarship provides $1,000 toward career education and is available to recent high school graduates who are pursuing postsecondary career education at participating career colleges across the United States. Each year, up to three students may be selected from each participating high school in the United States and Puerto Rico to receive scholarships. In just seven years, Imagine America has become one of the most recognized high school scholarship programs of its kind. With more than 35,000 scholarships awarded to high school students in over 12,000 high schools, Imagine America has provided more than $35 million in scholarship support.

In addition to the Imagine America scholarship, four other programs are also offered to qualifying students who are currently enrolled in career colleges, online/distance learners or are active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veterans of a United States military service branch.

Imagine America Military Award Program (MAP)

The Imagine America Military Award Program (MAP) is a national aid program that was established in 2004 by the Imagine America Foundation. This $1,000 career education award is available to any active duty member, reservist, honorably discharged or retired veteran of a United States military service branch for attendance at a participating career college.

Imagine America ASEP

The Imagine America Adult Skills Education Program (ASEP) builds upon the Foundation's award-winning Imagine America scholarship program, which has helped thousands of high school seniors each year attend a career college. Imagine America ASEP is a national aid program established in 2008 by the Imagine America Foundation. This $1,000 award was established to assist adult, non-traditional learners in their quest for higher education. ASEP is a one-time grant, provided through the Imagine America Foundation, to qualified adult students planning to attend a participating career college.

Imagine America Promise Scholarship

Imagine America Promise scholarships were created by the Imagine America Foundation to address the increasing costs of education and continued lack of scholarship aid specifically designed for career college students. Eligible awardees must have received an Imagine America high school senior scholarship previously and be nominated by their current participating career college.

Imagine America LDRSHIP

In 2004, the Foundation established the Imagine America LDRSHIP Award to recognize and honor exceptional career college students who are active duty, reservist, honorably discharged or retired military veterans attending Career College Association (CCA) member institutions. LDRSHIP stands for Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Selfless Service, Honor, Integrity and Personal Courage (LDRSHIP). Eligible awardees must be nominated by the participating career college and meet the award's criteria.
